Duties and Responsibilities As Head Bartender, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

Greet guests on arrival in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible.

Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.

Assist in the control of outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.

Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.

Attend regular meetings and briefings to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.

Be familiar with preparation, ingredients and presentation of all drinks offered in menus.

Use the appropriate glassware for the different beverages.

Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all beverages set by the hotel's required standards.

Have knowledge of guests likes and dislikes pertaining to drinks throughout their stay.

Ensure all mis-en-place for cocktails and drinks are correctly prepared prior to service in all beverage outlets.

A creative approach on Craft Cocktails, deep knowledge on Spirits and latest cocktails trends as well as fermentation.

Make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of guest's beverage requests throughout service.

Ensure that your working bar area is of exemplary clean nature.

Ensure that you are aware and informed of all products the hotel bars use for service including the bar machinery.

Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities and operational hours.

Recommend and promote items as directed by supervisor.

Always maintain the highest standard of social skills.

Report any maintenance faults following the required steps.

Knowledge on menu prices and suggesting upselling when necessary.

Ascertain guest satisfaction and ensure that all guest billing procedures are handled correctly, minimizing rebates during check out and bid guest farewell.

Maintain and update guest history files and disbursement of relevant information ensuring guest requests and preferences and/or food allergies are implemented whenever possible.

Maintain efficient administration within the department preparing and submitting operational reports on time.

Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.

Upsell all hotel, spa, LIFE and restaurant facilities.

Uphold Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation.

My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.

Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.

Qualification To execute the position of Head Bartender, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

High school diploma/degree or equivalent and at least 3 years experience in a similar operational role.

Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Experience in cocktail-making, beverage service fermentation, zero waste best practice, an ethical working approach with my team and environment.

I have excellent knowledge of spirits and mixed drinks.

Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sale platforms.

I have knowledge of hotel policies on discounts/food promotion.

Fluent in Italian and English.

Eligible to work in Italy (Only EU passport).

Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
