Italian Hospitality CollectionPosition: Head BartenderLocation: Conrad Chia Laguna SardiniaThe Head Bartender provides knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks including origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintains a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks. Duties and Responsibilities:Have a passion for wines and spirits with the ability to recommend and advise guests. Ensure proper pouring, mixing, and blending of drinks. Cashing up and serving drinks to guests, along with filling orders for the Food and Cocktail Servers. Supervise the bar service to offer a high-quality, efficient beverage service that enhances the guest experience and complies with licensing regulations. Communicate with the kitchen and guests to ensure a smooth and memorable experience. Deliver a five-star luxury lifestyle service experience. Know the menu and products; act as the second-in-command at the bar. Lead the bar team on day-to-day duties supporting the wider F&B Management team. Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring, cocktail mixing, and upselling. Create an attractive atmosphere through service and ambiance. Ensure all purchases are processed accurately and manage daily preparation and closing of the bar area. Be attentive and proactive, responding quickly to the needs of guests and management. Control the bar during service and act as the lead in the absence of the Bar Manager. Coach new bartenders and bar backs, ensuring correct standards and methods of service are maintained. Assist the Bar Manager in weekly stock taking and manage all Bar operations. Monitor guest service standards and ensure they are set, implemented, and monitored. Qualifications for Head Bartender:Preferably a relevant degree in Business or Hospitality. Must meet the minimum age to serve alcohol in line with local legislative requirements. A personal license is desirable. College Degree in Hotel Management is preferred. Strong spoken and written abilities in Italian and English are required.
