Head of accounting & controlling Manager
Main responsibilities
The resource will report to the Ameresco Vice President Finance & Corporate Controlling and to the Enerqos CEO, will coordinate a team of currently four people.
She/he will take care of the management of the administrative and controlling office, ensuring the correct management of accounting, administrative activities, cash management, planning, controlling and reporting requirements.
In addition, a special focus on the supervision of the integration IT tools with the Group is required, specially in the short-mid term period, with the responsibility of Group process and policies compliance in the long term period.
Main activities:
- Ensure the monitoring of the correct feeding of the accounting, through the verification of the quadrature and alignment with the feeding information systems or by making the necessary entries directly in the accounting systems for the more complex accounting areas.
- Coordinate the process of preparing the Company's economic and financial reports, directly taking care of the monthly closure and the preparation of the financial statements up to the drafting of the annual financial statements;
- Coordinate all planning and forecasting processes, according to the Group requirements and in coordination with all local Functions involved;
- Provide constant business performance analysis vs.planning, through accurate overviews on weekly/monthly KPIs to the local and Group Management;
- Partner of B. U leaders and prividing the support as needed on financial activities
- Take care of relations with the auditing and tax firms and provide accounting information to other entitled parties;
- Coordinate cash planning and management f the company according to Group guidelines, ensure the reconciliation of bank accounts, verifying the timely credit/debit of the skills gained and preparing the related accounting records;
- Support the Procurement department in the proper conduct of the procurement to pay process (Purchase Requests, Purchase orders, Good receipts approvals, Payments approvals);
- Coordinate the active billing cycle to customers;
- Lead the implementation project of the ERP software Microsoft Dynamics D365 and other B. I.
software for planning and controlling, in coordination with the US headquarters, for all the necessary functionalities.
- Act in capacity Secretary to the Board of Directors
**Requirements**:
Experience of at least 10 years in accounting and administrative controlling and financial roles, gained in structured contexts and preferably in the energy sector;- Degree in economics, finance or similar;
- Excellent organizational skills and resource management skills;
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting regulations; US GAAP knowledge will be a plus;
- Excellent command of IT tools, in particular accounting and financial management software; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 will be considered a plus
- Fluent knowledge of English and Italian;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills;
- Results-oriented and ability to work under pressure;
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to the management of complex and constantly evolving situations
- Precision and attention to detail
- Experinced in managing and leading team
