Position

The Head of Civil Engineering will coordinate the civil engineering office and team to provide technical analysis and engineering support for the assessment and development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.

The civil engineering office will assist in the design of land development projects including grading, drainage analysis, road design, sewage collection, storm drain systems equipment foundations, control building and substation foundations.

He will collaborate with R&D teams to develop and drive design standardization.

**Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities related to the Head of Civil Engineering activities are:

- Coordination of civil engineering office (3-5 people)

- Bill of quantities assessment and interfacing with GCo

- Develop cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements

- Provide assistance to construction teams, collaborate with contractors and Project Engineers and Project Managers

- Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures

- Analyse design issues and recommend corrective actions

- Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements

- Familiar with the local and international civil and structural codes and standards as required in the design

- Perform field surveys and investigations to prepare engineering drawings

- Review project plan and determine the design feasibilities and constraints

- Stay abreast with latest developments with civil design fields.

- Ensure compliance with local and international Codes & Standards quality requirements

**Requirements**:

**Technical Requirements

- MS Civil Engineering

- At least 3 years of project or engineering experience related to energy storage system or power generating system

- Detailed component level understanding of BESS installation

- Well versed in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point

- Proficiency in computer-aided design programs or AutoCAD

- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations

- Civil engineer licence and knowledge of stationary electrochemical storage technologies will be considered a plus
