Head Of Communications
APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: January 3rd, 2025 Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health and promote life science research both nationally and internationally.
In light of this significant project, HT is seeking a Head of Communications.
As a member of HT's senior management, the Head of Communication will report to Director Marino Zerial.
The candidate will lead a team of 6 people.
Key tasks and responsibilities Developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy for both internal and external audiences, aligned with HT's objectives.
Coordinating and engaging internal stakeholders , including the Director, President, Heads of Research Centers, Head of National Facilities, CSOO, Head of Administration, Head of HR.
Collaborating with external stakeholders , such as research centers, pharmaceutical companies, Italian and European institutions, and communication agencies.
Leveraging available resources to ensure the effective delivery of communication initiatives.
Ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across all communication activities to support HT's mission and goals.
Essential requirements (all criteria must be verifiable through the CV) Degree in Communication, Marketing, Media, or equivalent work experience.
At least 10 years of experience in communication roles at managerial and leadership levels.
Fluency in English (C2 or equivalent).
Fluency in Italian (C2 or equivalent).
Proven experience in managing and defining communication strategies during crises.
Knowledge of the news and media landscape, and expertise in content distribution across multiple media channels.
Experience in designing and implementing communication plans for the scientific, research/academic, and healthcare sectors.
Experience in marketing, engagement campaigns, and the use of AI and social media.
Proven leadership, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred requirements Experience in institutional relationship management.
International work experience abroad and/or having led international teams and international communication campaigns.
Other key competencies Demonstrated ability to handle complex and delicate communication issues.
Ability to manage challenges and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
