Key Responsibilities This position is integral to the strategic objectives of the Italian cluster, focusing on productivity enhancements through detailed planning and execution of initiatives designed to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
Core responsibilities include:
Driving cost reduction and profitability growth. Optimizing production portfolios and rationalizing capacity while improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Strengthening quality and safety standards. Enhancing customer service performance. Additionally, the role involves overseeing continuous improvement efforts, including the development and execution of site master plans, operational efficiency programs, and alignment with overarching corporate goals.
This individual will set performance benchmarks, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement governance frameworks to monitor and sustain financial benefits.
Additional duties include: Leading and prioritizing impactful Continuous Improvement projects. Promoting a culture of Lean thinking and fostering action-oriented continuous improvement throughout the organization. Aligning cost-saving initiatives across all organizational levels. Collaborating with site leadership to support strategic investments with robust data insights. Successfully defining and executing cross-functional improvement projects aligned with annual strategic goals. Working with finance teams to validate project savings, ensure accurate reporting of benefits, and effectively account for productivity gains. This role is based in Latina, Italy, with a requirement to travel approximately 30% within the country.
Your Profile
Education: Master's degree in industrial engineering or a related scientific discipline. Certification: Black Belt certification is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in process optimization, operations leadership, or Lean Manufacturing, with a strong background in Operational Excellence and process improvement. Industry Experience: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical sector is highly desirable. Skills: Exceptional communication, project management, training, facilitation, and change management capabilities.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments. Language: Proficiency in English is strongly preferred. Attributes: Strategic thinker with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be based in the Latina area and willing to travel within Italy as needed to meet operational goals.
