Head Of Creative Department - Events & Exhibits
Mission**:
The Head of Creative Deparment works under the guidance of both Events BU Director and Events BU COO, leading and supervising the work of a wide range of internal/external creative professionals and being responsible for the overall quality of all the materials produced by the Creative and Design Department and for the overall creative delivery of all projects developed by Events Business Unit.
**Main tasks and responsibilities**:
- 1. _ _Creative/Design Workflow management:_
- responsible for managing the operational inner-workings of the Creative/Design Department leading a team of internal Creative Director, Designer, Art Directors, Creative Coordinator, etc.
- review and assess new projects requests to understand project details, creative ask and deadlines
- oversee the assignation of the internal and external resources to every project, understanding skill set needs and matching resources to best fit project's needs, in accordance with executive management
- ensure that all creative outputs are delivered on time and in adherence with Company's qualitative standards
- ensure that all creative materials are timely and properly archived
- 2. _ _Internal coordination:_
- bridge communication and efficient work processes between Creative/Design, Production, and Business teams
- run weekly resource meetings and facilitate capacity issues/conflict resolution with teams and appropriate department heads
- maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and new business activities
- 3. _ _Creative/Design Team Management:_
- responsible for searching, evaluating, hiring, retaining and developing internal team members as well for managing eventual underperformance's issues defining (when needed) exit and substitution plans for underperformers, in accordance with executive management
- coach and develop junior creatives assigning clear goals and objectives, assessing their improvements and giving clear feedbacks
- liaise with HR to identify recruiting needs and to define the best strategies to search and attract best-in-class professionals and talents in order to manage turnover and ensure the continuous evolution of the department.
- 4. _ _Creative/Design Talent & Tech R&D:_
- responsible for organizing and building out a broad network of new and existing creative talents
- act as first point of contact with all creative talents, ensuring that they are set up correctly and have the necessary tools and understanding of the assignment
- monitor and evaluate talents performances, taking input from other team members to ensure they are meeting role standards
- continue to evolve and challenge the creative vision, setting the expectation at the highest level to ensure creative direction is retained and in line with BWS quality standard and values
- encourage the process of sharing and cross-fertilization between team members and units
- drive, encourage & nurture conceptual, visual, technological and talent research
- ensure the correct and timely archiving of all R&D materials
- 4. _ _CreativeDesign Development Supervision:_
- is directly responsible for the overall creative delivery of all projects developed by Events Business Unit and/or involving directly the executive management
- ensure that creative deliveries are aligned with executive management guidelines and with company's and clients' strategic goals
**Requirements**:
**Key knowledge, experience and qualifications required**:
- Understanding of creative but also production and operational requirements for all scale events and/or branded entertainment.
- Extensive related/relevant work experience within film, theatre, live events or TV
- Understanding and demonstrable experience of a similar role

- Excellent English (both written and spoken)
- A basic understanding of Italian language (or at least the willingness to learning it) is warmly recommended
