A strong leader and critical thinker to help lead a Client Service teams servicing large, complex client relationships within the bank.

This managerial position is within the Client Service of State Street Bank GmbH Italy Branch.

The Officer position interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally.

Therefore, high level of communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Client Service group demonstrates strong technical Custody Knowledge, initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and simultaneously direct multiple tasks.

The position is responsible for maintaining direct client relationships and the day-to-day for several clients.

**What you will be responsible for

As Custody Client Service Manager you will

- Supervise all subordinate staff (including Associate 1, Associate 2, Officer, Senior Assoc.

and/or Senior Staff).

- Ensure timeliness and responsiveness in managing the clients inquiries on Cash, Settlements and Corporate Actions events worked by the team, and being efficient and proactive in triggering the escalation process when needed to resolve severe or urgent items.

- Developing and coaching the team

- Create and maintain an engaged work environment and ensure appropriate communications channels are in place.

- Manage internal workflow and client deadlines.

- Manage client relationships in relation to the Custody and Asset Servicing activity.

- Well versed with the Income distribution process and should be able to assess the impacts.

- Knowledge of Dividends processing, including Securities Lending and Tax Withholdings.

- Communication and Operational Client Service Delivery:

- Act as an extension of our client service model ensuring seamless service delivery across Business Operations for our clients;

- Engage with business leads and peers, interfaces with senior leaders across the organization.

Builds strong internal and external relationships and ensures service quality and customer satisfaction

- Complete projects as assigned

- Review current process and make suggestion to improve processing efficiency

**What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

- More than 4 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably within client services and/or Custody industry.

- Good understanding of Asset Servicing domain specialized in Income Accounting/Custody processing/Settlements

- Solid understanding of operational functions within Custody and/or Fund Accounting

- Good interpersonal and organizational skills

- Experience with managing staff

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and possess strong problem solving and resolution skills

- Ability to work well in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere

**Education & Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree with a focus on business and financial topics or comparable apprenticeship

- More than 4 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably within client services and/or Custody industry.

- Fluent English, both oral and written.
