Head of Finance - Customer Interaction SuiteAct as a finance partner to Customer Interaction Suite portfolio of Business across all areas as enunciated (but not limited to) below.
The role is that of the LOB CFO who co-owns the P&L with the business head.
Product/ Services Pricing and Customer pricing Partners with product management and Business development for creating the pricing playbooks (price books) aligned to the market and to the margin objectives as per the Annual Operating Plan and Product business plan - including the 1-3-30 lifecycle stages.
Once created is also responsible to keeping the price books current/ refreshed. Set up and govern the customer pricing process.
Supports Commercial management team in pricing customer deals for portfolio under management with an objective of maximizing profitability (EBIT/IRR) and win rates together.
Total portfolio supported is ~$500 mn in annual revenue. Evaluates and approves/ recommends for approval or rejects - pricing requests basis company's defined deal evaluation and margin guidelines.
As a part of this process performs thorough business case evaluation, identifies and quantifies financial risks and factors the same appropriately in the business cases.
For strategic deals, recommends to CFO margin approvals that may be needed. Directly prices (not support) all non-standard and/or large deals - typically $1m and above per deal. Does periodic large deal evaluation and variance against approved to analyse any fine-tuning in the business case constructs and evaluation criteria. Periodic reviews of deals to identify deals below the profitability threshold and works with sales team to have them repriced or terminated. Customer contracting - ensures adherence to customer contracting (for the large deals that come to finance) in terms of its entity contracting, tax efficiency, adherence to RPT and transfer pricing policies. Strategic projects Partners with product management and engineering team for all investments, including but not limited to new platforms like Engage or ICPaaS.
The role here involves detailed investment appraisal, constructing the business case, approving it as per DOP.
Also responsible to conducting post investment reviews - planned vs. actual as a part of performance management. Partners with taxation teams and CFO Office on entities rationalization and re-structuring - Project Cosmos. Key member in finance systems integration post take over. Credit notes evaluation and approval Evaluates, recommends for approvals and approves (as per company's Delegation of authority policy) any non-billing related customer credits post evaluating the customer profitability. Recommends process changes that can reduce cost leakage, credit notes and enhance profitability. Provides inputs to process changes and simplification to drive business momentum and productivity. Drives with Product and Sales teams in CIS all financial planning activities - AOP, SPP, Outlook.
In addition, depending on the jurisdiction, will be part of entity board of directors, and maintain and manage external relationships with audit firms, bankers and management consultants.
