Associated with the Galeries Lafayette group, more than a decade after La Redoute opened its last local subsidiary, the company is now ready to accelerate its International presence with the opening of new local offices starting from Italy.
**In a nutshell, what's the job?
Reporting directly to the Country Director of our new Italian subsidiary, in a context of business development in Italy, you're in charge of all financial (tax, accounting, etc. )
and legal aspects of the entity.
You will also support the management in the adaptation of the business model.
- You are the guarantor of the good understanding and treatment of accounting, tax, social elements, for the proper functioning of the company
- You are the guarantor of a proper monthly closing, working with our CSP in Portugal
- You build, control, optimize and close the entire budget of the subsidiary: turnover, margin, costs (personnel costs, commercial investments, overheads. . . )
- You monitor the profitability of the subsidiary and carry out monthly financial reports and develop their analyses with the Group
- You are the guarantor of the delivery of reliable reports and their proper analysis to ensure optimal management of the company
- In a dynamic and changing environment of developing SMEs, you work in close collaboration with the Country Director and with the operational services (marketing, call center, IT. . . ) of the subsidiary, as well as the accounting and financial department of the Group
- On a day-to-day basis, you monitor the company's activity in relation to the budget forecasts.
You propose corrective actions if necessary and follow up on a "rolling forecast"
**What will you do?
**Accounting & Tax
- Working with our CSP (accounting production) and external advisors (Tax, audit, legal, payroll support), you ensure that we are compliant with all Italian accounting, tax, and RGPD regulations
- You oversee the consolidation of financial data
**Budgets
- You collect, analyze and synthesize data coming from the operational services in order to build the budgets and forecasts
- You write the country budget in collaboration with the country director and with operational managers
- You are responsible for good communication flow with finance group (France and Portugal)
- You ensure financial deadlines are met and that the Italian budget is well integrated in common tools
- You ensure the budgets are followed by managers and that we reach targeted turnover and EBITDA
- You produce and distribute budget summary documents
- You write the country budget in collaboration with the country director, the International Development Controlling Team and with the other operational managers
- You are responsible for good communication flow with finance group (France and Portugal) as well as International Development Controlling Team
**Reporting and activity follow-up
- You develop/adapt performance analysis reports to ensure business is tracked effeciently
- You present and comment on the reports to the various actors involved
- You monitor performance by analyzing the differences between results and forecasts, interpreting them and identifying possible optimizations
- You alert on deviations and dysfunctions that could have negative financial impacts
**Performance improvement
- You accompany/share performance reports with managers, helping them making decisions to optimize performance
- You support operational managers in setting up action plans
**Who are you?
You're business oriented, you master not only P&L but legal, accounting and tax matters in Italy.
You know how to construct financial reports and dashboards and understand the mechanics of forecasting.
You love partnering with the team to perform better in their own field of expertise.
- Fluent in Italian and English, French is a plus
- Team player
- Master degree in accounting, finance
- You have at least 5 years experience in financial auditing or Finance
