The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world.
Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products. Main tasks:- Coordination of Installation, Commissioning and Training activities, within the "Navigation and non-radar Surveillance" (NAS) Business Segment Organization, related to all NavAids and NRS (non radar surveillance) projects belonging to Thales portfolio. - Support to Customer's offer preparation. - Technical documentation update. - Remote support and on site activities related to after sales assistance and corrective maintenance. - Supervise client warranty completions and acceptance to ensure clients are provided with the highest level of customer serviceDetailed tasks description and responsibilities- he/she reports to the Head of Services. - Ensures customer satisfaction while maintaining Thales processes. - Has full international exposure, managing customers worldwide. - Is responsible to plan all the activities in his portfolio, verifying and solving schedule conflicts. - Is responsible to coordinate and supervise subcontractors in charge of civil works and installation activities. - Is responsible to manage all the activities related to installation, site supervision, setting up, commissioning, training (in factory and on site), site acceptance tests, corrective maintenance and flight check inspection assistance. - Is responsible to plan and manage training courses, using own or other department resources, including external consultants. - Is accountable to release and keep up to date the Technical documentation - Reviews KPIs with upper management monthly and quarterly, to ensure all performance targets are met- Prepares annual multi-year budget (MYB) for department- Controls and manages budget versus actual expenses/revenue- Performs Risk Analysisrelated to his/her area of responsibility and Developsimprovement plans as needed- Proactively ensures that customers queries are answered in no more than 48 hours. - Is responsible to keep the team skills and knowledge up to date when Thales products are updatedEducation:- Engineering degree or equivalent certificationExperience:- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in delivering site activities for NAVAIDS.
NRS experience is appreciated. - Good knowledge of business administration, contract management and supplier management. - Minimum 5 years in managing a teamSkills:- Customer oriented- English is your daily business language.
Good spoken and written communications are required. - Knowledge of Italian, spoken and written, is a must. - An additional language is appreciated. - Ability to influence stakeholders- Negotiation- Independence and creativity in solving problems. - Microsoft Office expert Excellent written presentation and reporting writing skills. - Strength in dealing with international customers. - Willingness to travel worldwide if required (25% typical)At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
