Head of Markets - ItalyA tech-enabled insurance platform with full binding authority capacity is looking for a Head of Markets in Italy.

This role will report directly to the Country Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all lines of business, including Logistics, Healthcare, and Business Services.

The Head of Markets will play a pivotal role in driving growth and performance in the Italian market through successful launches and continuous optimization of services.

Main ActivitiesProduct Development: Create tailor-made products for small professionals that are easy to sell for small brokers.

Monitor technical performance and optimize results through strategic pruning and price updates in line with carriers. Commercial Performance Management: Monitor commercial performance across all business lines and draft commercial plans with the Head of Distribution.

Support the distribution team in accessing small, high-producing specialist brokers. Underwriting Expertise: Maintain high underwriting expertise within the team to provide accurate answers as a level 2 point of contact for the broker services team. Leadership and Transition Management: Ensure strong leadership to help the team transition from big-ticket systematic case underwriting to portfolio underwriting of small tickets for small professionals. Competencies and ExperienceExperience: 10-15 years in the insurance industry, ideally within an international insurer or as the second-in-command in a similar department.

Proven track record in SME insurance markets, experience in launching intranet solutions for medium-sized brokers, and expertise in designing specific insurance products for brokers.

Knowledge: Understanding of at least two insurance product lines (e. g. , Professional Indemnity/Property, Professional Indemnity/Motors).

Competencies: Strong understanding of SME insurance products and market dynamics, technical expertise in Professional Indemnity, Property, and Motor insurance.

Fluent in Italian and English.

Skills: Excellent communication skills, strategic vision, analytical mindset, project management, and leadership capabilities.

Attitude: Proactive, result-oriented, open-minded, collaborative, and customer-focused.
