Offerta The Head of Markets in Italy will report directly to the Country Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all lines of business, including Logistics, Healthcare, and Business Services.
This role is pivotal in driving the growth and performance of the Italian market by ensuring the successful launch and continuous optimization.
The role will contribute to achieving the company's overall business objectives and revenue goals in Italy.
Main activities Product Development:Create products that are tailor-made for small professionals, and easy to sell for small brokersMonitor the technical performance and optimize the technical results through strategic pruning and/or price updates, in line with carriersCommercial Performance Management:Monitor the commercial performance across all business linesDraft commercial plans with the Head of DistributionSupport the distribution team to get access to small, high producing, specialist brokersUnderwriting Expertise:Maintain high underwriting expertise within the team to provide accurate answers as a level 2 point of contact for the broker services team. Leadership and Transition Management:Ensure strong leadership to help the team transition from big-ticket systematic case underwriting to portfolio underwriting of small tickets for small professionals. Competenze ed esperienza Experience 10-15 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally within an international insurer or as the second-in-command in a similar department. Proven track record in SME insurance markets. Experience in launching intranet solutions for carriers with medium-sized brokers. Expertise in designing specific insurance products for brokers. Knowledge of at least two insurance product lines (e. g. , Professional Indemnity/Property, Professional Indemnity/Motors). Competencies Strong understanding of SME insurance products and market dynamics. Technical expertise in Professional Indemnity, Property, and Motor insurance. Fluent in Italian and English. Skills Excellent communication skills. Strategic vision and analytical mindset. Project management and leadership capabilities. Attitude Proactive and result-oriented.
