Overview:
Reporting to Chief People Officer, the Head of People Italy devises and leads the strategic priorities and people solutions for the Italian population in collaboration with the global People & Culture Centre of Excellence.
The Head of People manages the operations and corporate population supported by a people team of 36.
Your Mission:
People Partnering
- Devises and drives the Italy Corporate People agenda; attracting, engaging and retaining the best talent for SMC and encouraging a high performance through in Italy
- Lead the Italy people team partnering function to ensure best-in-class and commercial organizational People support
- Partner with the senior business leaders, including Executives and support the Chief People Officer on organizational design, organizational development, competency models, employee experience and retention, performance criteria and measurement, succession planning, talent reviews and change management.
- Manage relations with unions
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement and human HR approach; continuously reviewing strategies, policies, procedures and HR approach ensuring they are fit for purpose and customer centric.
- Partner with senior leadership to translate business goals into authentic, tangible departmental and people strategies
- Plan, lead, and deliver on cross functional and people project activities for Italy throughout the organization; pulling on COE's and People team in delivery of key strategic projects
Talent Acquisition
- In partnership with Talent Acquisition, ensures TA activities happen swiftly and continues to push to reduce recruitment time
Talent Development
- Manage effective succession planning, talent mapping and talent pipeline to respond effectively to current and future business needs.
- Partners leaders to assess the performance of teams and individuals and deliver impactful feedback
Administration, Compensation & Benefits
- Roll-out and conduct the salary review process for Italy Corporate teams following the guidelines of the Global Leaning & Training team
- Ownership of personnel costs budget for Italy Corporate teams, including budget & revised versions preparation
- Make sure employee administrative is properly processed and ensure that SMC is fully compliant from an administration point of view
- Ensure that Workday, SMC people software at WW level, is updated in a timely manner and continues the implementation of new information/modules based on local needs in order to keep automatizing processes/way of working
- Provide inputs to Global Head of Pay & Reward about local benefits offer
Culture, Internal Communications & D&I
- In Partnership with Global Head of Communications and Engagement develops internal communications strategy for Italy Corporate Offices
- Organize the roll-out of culture projects for our Italian population
- Partner with Global Head of People, Talent Acquisition and Inclusion and business leaders to develop market and departmental specific Diversity action plans to deliver the overall global strategy.
Employee Lifecycle
- Identifies people priorities, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement; researching and sourcing best practices and proposing and delivering commercial solutions which enhance the employee experience
- Continually reviews policies and procedures and ensures adherence and action for breaches
Learning & Development
- Assess learning & development needs of the region through annual reviews and business partnering
- Develops learning & development plans for the region and coordinates internal and external parties working with the Global Learning & Development team
