Role Title

Head Of Quality - Europe

**Role Purpose

Lead team in driving quality processes and systems across raw material sourcing (including packaging material) in-process, finished goods, final packaging for the two pants in Italy in order to fulfill customer requirements within internal and external compliances and guidelines

**What the role entails

(Key Responsibilities)

- Lead QA teams in fiber cable and connectivity, improve the set systems and process, ensure compliance

- Guide team in preparing plans and budgets for the Quality department of the Unit

- Drive adherence to laid down SOPs and Parameters; Lead team in updating and developing SOPs, as required

- Lead team in conducting quality checks for incoming raw material, in-process output and finished goods; Identify and resolve issues, as required

- Drive team to meet timelines of dispatch requirement for various orders; Address issues, as required

- Lead team in collating customer feedback from CRM, draw inferences, support in conducting RCA and determine course-corrections, required; Provide team technical guidance in resolving customer issues (in coordination with relevant internal departments, as required)

- Drive maintenance and up gradation of system certifications and product certifications, as required under laydown internal and external compliances

- Keep abreast with market development, emerging technologies and processes and systems, quality standards in Quality Management to ensure world class delivery of services

- Participate in New Product development activities and provide inputs/inferences from a Quality perspective

- Lead & guide the team in conducting new vendor technical evaluations, and provide recommendations to Business and SCM teams

- Create a culture of good manufacturing practices, driving Sterlite values and continuous improvement

- Lead team driving improvement projects (short term and long term) for the Quality department

- Lead own team through goal setting and performance reviews; Train and mentor team members, actively; Hire for open positions in the team

- Ensure end to end adherence to engineering change management for any change in process or Raw material

- Ensure internal process and product audit as per specifications

- Identify training need for the team and self and prepare training plan

- Drive zero defect culture and ensure timnely closure of customer complaints

- Drive TQM, Six Sigma and other quality tools to achieve quality excellence

**What we are looking for in you

(Skills, Knowledge, Special Attributes, Mobility)

- With overall experience of 12-15 years in the Quality function for a large manufacturing organization and with specific experience of 8-10 years in Cables manufacturing

- Greenbelt in Lean Six Sigma

- Green belt certification is desirable but not essential

- Willingness for limited travel to customer locations in case situation demands so

- Past experience in handling large teams and interfacing with global teams

- Past experience in OFC or connectivity would be an added advantage

- Languages: Italian and English.

- Minimum Qualifications & Critical Exposure to Perform the Job at the Optimum Level_

Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Pay: €70, 000. 00 - €200, 000. 00 per year
