Head Of R&D
Main Duties**:
- Participation in the development strategy (with the PM and PO) as well as in the definition and the implementation of the product life-cycle. Responsible for machine's platform creation and maintenance, according to product development processes (PEP or s similar) and change management strategy
- Participation in the cost-controlling strategy (with the rest of the management team)
- Recognition of market trends and customer needs
- Disciplinary leadership and coordination of the area as well as responsibility for budget, deadline and capacity planning including the reporting
- Continuous coaching and team building
- Qualitati v e and quantitative periodical performances review and reporting, even us ing apposite tools.
- Further development of the area by strengthening of core competencies
- Responsibility for the reorganization in the respective area due to new corporate strategies
- Continuous optimization of processes to increase effect iveness and development speed
- Coordination and strive for underlying issues
- Promotion and coaching of junior staff and training of employees
- Responsibility for HR-related tasks such as the creation of staff requests and mutations, as well as eventual co-determination of recruitments and approvals of phase changes
- Quick reactions towards customer feedback.
- Networked, collaborative working with development partners, institutions and universities
- Successful implementation of development projects within the respective area with deadline and budget control
- Implementation and supervision of corporate development standards and processes
- Tight inter-divisional and regional collaboration with internal interfaces (processes, factory standards etc.
)
- Responsibility for the establishment of new processes
- Responsibility for new solutions testing and validation
- Support of the Service Department with specific costumer related problems acting as third level support
- Support of the Sales Department with specific strategic projects
**Requirements**:
- Graduated in mechanical or electronics engineering from a technical university
- Experience in the serial machine development, automotive components or serial medium/high complexity electro-mechanical products of several years
- Experience in leading engineering and multi-disciplinary team for several years
- Proven track record in managing interdisciplinary development projects
- Fluent Italian and English, written and orally
- Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.
)
- MS Project
- Familiar with 3D and 2D mechanical drawings.
