Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2, 300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22, 000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee was established in 2019 to organize the Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the cities of Milano and Cortina, and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano / Bozen are partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government. The candidate will be placed within the Corporate Safety and Health Function and will perform and support tasks reporting to the HSE Director. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for: Developing and implementing health and safety procedures in line with standards and legal requirements. Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance. Providing health and safety training to staff and maintaining training records. Handling any incidents, investigating their causes, and recommending improvements. Keeping up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in health and safety. Acting as a liaison with external health and safety authorities, as needed. Contributing to the identification of risk factors and risk assessment in compliance with the Italian regulations in force. Elaborating, proposing, and promoting preventive and protective measures and control systems of these measures in the field of occupational and environmental safety. Supervising the actions defined following audits and analysis of near misses. Managing consultants in charge of safety management. Collaborating with other Corporate Functions in the preparation of technical/operational documentation on safety in the workplace. Verifying that suppliers operate in compliance with company HSE policies. Verifying the contractor's documents. The ideal candidate will have: 4 to 7 years' experience in the role, in project activities in major events companies or industry consulting companies. Previous experience in construction and auditing activities is preferable. Adequate knowledge of environmental legislation, occupational safety, and the ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards. Excellent knowledge of the Office package, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Possible certifications are a plus. The profile is completed by: Proven experience as a safety manager. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform one's role in a transversal manner. Place of work: Milan with the possibility of travel and relocation to the Clusters in the BUMP IN phase.
