The **Health Economics Market Access & Reimbursement (HEMAR) Manager **is a career pathway opportunity to lead the strategic planning and implementation of the payer value generation and access strategies for pharmaceutical products in early development to commercialization until late lifecycle. The position resides in the **Immunology **area of the Italian Operating Company and reports to the HEMAR Leader. For the assigned therapeutic area, the HEMAR Manager serves as the leading resource on access strategies and is an active member of the Country Value Team, as well as the international HEMAR Functional Network.
**The HEMAR Manager Immunology will be responsible for the following activities**:
- Lead the Value Development Team to close successfully the ongoing negotiations and to define the optimal strategy for local pricing and reimbursement dossiers and evidence generation for the upcoming launches in Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis;
- Manage the late lifecycle and loss of exclusivity of a product, by working cross-functionally in with Tender Manager, Business Head, Financial Controller and Legal Counsel;
- Implement an Account Management Plan working together with Local Functions and realize strategic initiatives in prioritized hospitals or territories that aim at improving patient pathways;
- Manage relationships with EMEA HEMAR and Pricing, to ensure the timely acknowledgment of local inputs, as well as the alignment between the pricing strategies and Corporate guidelines;
- Identifying in a timely manner the inputs relevant in the definition of market access strategies and an effective action plans design to support preparation of the annual Brand Value Plan to guarantee the success of the brand strategy for the future year;
- Collaborate with Value and Access Managers in Italian regions to design, develop and implement an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value propositions for improving place of therapy of our products to where patients could benefit the most;
- Drive the design and management of health outcomes studies including: systematic literature reviews, Real World Evidence studies, and user-friendly cost effectiveness and budget impact models, where required to support decision making or ensure launch readiness;
- Take budgetary responsibility for defining and managing the market access discretionary budgets, ensuring that spending is managed effectively throughout the year and to plan.
**Qualifications**:
- Academic Background: University Degree in Life Science, Health Policy, or Economics
- A post-degree in Health Economics or HTA is a plus.
- Consolidated experience (3-6 years) working cross-functionally in matrix organizations in departments of Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance or Business Intelligence.
- Previous experience in Immunology is a plus.
- Diplomatic and negotiation skills allowing you to reach a consensus between different partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects/priorities and complex issues
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker, able to zoom out to think holistically as well as to zoom in on details as needed.
- Dynamic and ambitious professional that proactively explores solution building in the face of obstacles.
- Team player: partnership & team building with a sound understanding of the pharmaceutical business environment
- IT Knowledge: Good Office knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point)
- Languages: English and Italian
The role will be located in Milan, at the brand new JnJ Office in viale Fulvio Testi 280.
