Wood is recruiting for a Home Office Construction Engineer to join our Life Sciences division based in Milan, working on Pharmaceutical and Bio Tech projects across Europe and internationally. Flexible benefits package; Free shuttle bus from Metro station to the office, company canteen, biannual free medical check-up, free company parking, extra-working accidents insuranceCommitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interestsGlobal connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our professionTypical Responsibilities: Provide construction input to the project throughout the engineering phaseAssist with aspects of the project construction strategy, execution planning and contracting strategyProvide input to the assessment and selection of construction contractorsPrepare and review documents for approval to communicate installation sequencingPrepare project specific site procedures and work practices as necessary to meet Client requirementsProvide Construction Engineering in accordance with project requirements and Home Office proceduresLiaise with designers, engineers and Home Office Construction Manager / Coordinator throughout the engineering phase to maximize the use of construction knowledge and experience in all aspects of the project paying particular attention to constructabilityAssist with construction feasibility and method studiesPrepare and review for approval plans, drawings, specifications, requisitions and bid summaries for all temporary construction facilities required within the Project scopeAssist the Home Office Construction Manager in the development of the project logistic strategy and projects organization /laydown areasReview Project metrics in liaison with Coordinator/ManagerReview the project requirements, the constructability and assist with the construction execution planProvide Home Office clarification on issues raised at site by communication with other involved Home Office departments as necessaryMaintain the necessary records to ensure quality assurance requirements are metLiaise with field staff on construction engineering mattersRequirements: Graduate in Engineering (preferable Edil, Civil or Mechanical)Fluent in English and Italian languageAvailability to assignmentsBe familiar with Microsoft Software PackageWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
