Main Responsibilities:Taking reservations accurately where necessary while keeping track of guests preferencesGreeting and seating guests according to MO standardsPresenting the menu correctly to each guestClearing plates and tables and ensuring general table maintenance throughout the mealHandling special requests from guests and VIPsBidding guests farewellAnticipating the guests' needsRequirements:Proficiency in English and Italian languageMust be able to set up tables for all meal periodsMust be able to set up service stationsMust be able to set up the bar/restaurant reception areaMust be capable of handling all relevant equipmentMust be able to handle all reservations and guest enquiry of the bar/restaurants in a timely mannerPrepare all table arrangement of the bar/restaurantsEnsure the menus are up-to-date and in excellent conditionMust have good communication skills within the department and able to relate messages with other departments within the hotelsAttend daily meetingsAttend all mandatory training sessions arranged by MOPerform all administrative tasks designated to him/her by managementBe aware of, and comply with, safe working practices as laid down under FHLSS. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplaceBe aware of, and comply with local and relevant Food Acts. Wear any appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Hotel. Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to the Hotel procedures. Ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with Hotel procedures. Attend all statutory fire training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning, fire, health & safety. Be aware of Fire safety plansAdhere to Safe&Sound procedures regarding Health & safetyAdhere to Safe&Sound procedures regarding HACCP standardsAttend any training deemed appropriate by your Head of Department
