Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that recently underwent a LARGE-SCALE RENOVATION, IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, AND ADMINISTRATION! Housekeeping/Environmental Services Aide is responsible for carrying out the duties of either Housekeeping and/or Laundry Departments which include, and are not limited to:Processing of all facility linen and personal linen and clothing. The prevention of unnecessary waste, loss of time and damage to belongings. Maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas throughout the facility. Maintaining care of equipment and supplies. Cleaning and servicing areas, baths, laboratories, educational facilities, corridors, utility rooms and beds. Dusting and damp mopping floors, dusting furniture and equipment, cleaning windowsills, emptying wastebaskets, arranging furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion. Scouring and polishing bathtubs, sinks, mirrors and similar fixtures, polishing any metal objects. Replenishing supplies of disinfectants, soaps and towels. Keeping storage areas in good order and arranging supplies. Cleaning and disinfecting beds, bed stands, utensils, sterilizers and wheelchairs. Emptying waste baskets, cleaning and relining them. Vacuuming carpets, shampooing upholstered furniture, and dusting blinds. Removing drapery and cubical curtains when needed. Cleaning shower stalls, baths, water fountains, chute doors, fire extinguishers and stationary ice containers. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working in housekeeping or laundry, but not required. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work well under pressure & willingness to work harmoniously with all staff. Must have a working knowledge of housekeeping and laundry techniques. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.
