The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, part of Marriott International, is currently looking for a Housekeeping Intern.

**What you will do
The purpose of the Internship is to give the Intern an overview of the Company and Hotel organization and understand the role of the different departments.
Within the specific department, the Intern will shadow and actively support the Tutor in order to acquire professional skills.
At the end of the internship program the Intern will be able to:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc.
after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards.
- Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
- Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
- Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating and coaching employees.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Housekeeper Manager.

**What we're looking for
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Hospitality or humanities
- Fluent written and spoken English and Italian
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Passion for luxury hospitality
- Team Work, communication and problem solving skills
- Can-do attitude along with strong motivation and enthusiasm
- Positive outlook and outgoing personality
This role requires compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards.
You may be required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
