We're on the lookout for an exceptional Housekeeping Manager to join our team.
If you have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 2 consecutive years in a reputable international hotel full service chain, specifically in a Housekeeping role within Upper Upscale hotels, then this opportunity is tailor-made for you!
Job Summary The Housekeeping Manager is in charge of the day-to-day execution of housekeeping duties and team member support within the housekeeping department.
You will work with the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper to maintain a high level of guest happiness, cleanliness, and upkeep of rooms; find opportunities that better equip the department to achieve its established business goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Requirements: Preferably at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position in an upper upscale hotel.
High communication skills.
Accountability and resilience.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage conflict/resolution.
High leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team and achieve high level of performance and quality.
Be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities: Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting/conference rooms.
Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
Oversee and conduct room inspections.
Manage cost controls and overall department profitability, budgeting, and forecasting.
Supervise policy and procedures implementation.
Plan and manage day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department and its team.
Ensure that monthly working schedules are made and maintained in accordance with local legislation and departmental budget.
Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing training, conducting counselling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
Ensure communication meetings are conducted.
Be environmentally aware.
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation and labor law.
