**1.
POST CONTEXT
The Joint Logistics Support Group Headquarters commands and controls assigned logistic, Engineer and medical units for the execution of JTF's operational level plan.
The Support Branch is responsible for the support of JLSG HQ mission execution.
The Real Life Support (RLS) Section is responsible for the support of JLSG HQ mission execution by providing Real Life Support.
The JLSG Headquarters Security Officer is responsible for the execution of security measures and the release of information to support JLSG missions within the Joint Logistics Support Area (JLSA).
His focus is to cover issues related to security at the JLSG Headquarters, as well as implementing security measures within the entire JLSG structure.
The incumbent reports to OLN SRXX 0010 - Section Head (Real Life Support) OF-4.
**2.
DUTIES
The HQ Security Officer's duties are:
- Act as the JLSG HQ Security Officer within the JLSG HQ RLS Section.
- Implement standing NATO security policies and directives within the JLSG Structure.
- Support the development of Theatre Security Policy and Procedures.
- Contribute to theater-wide policy on document classification (Security Classification Guide) and theater-wide policy on release of information in preparation for deployment for operations or exercises, advising the staff accordingly.
- Provide, within his field of expertise, relevant inputs and contribute to the planning and execution of JLSG exercises and missions.
- Provide security advice to the JLSG Commander, to the JLSG HQ staff and to subordinate units as necessary.
- Cooperate with CIS, IM, FP and Intel Sections / Cells on relevant matters to the JLSG Security.
- Provide directions and guidance and security updates to the Intel / Security night shift at the JLOC/Intel Cell.
- Develop and update JLSG HQ Security Policy and Procedures on Physical Security, Security of Information, Personnel Security, Information Assurance (in close coordination with the CIS Section) and Industrial Security, in accordance with standing NATO security policy, in preparation of deployment for operations and exercises.
- Develop and update the JLSG HQ policy on the classification of documents (Security Classification Guide) and on the release of information, in preparation of deployment for operations and exercises, advising the staff accordingly.
- Develop and update the JLSG HQ policy on Force Exemption Cards, Installation Access and Security Procedures.
- In close cooperation with JLOC / Intel Cell, contribute as necessary to provide assessment on non-friendly intelligence activities, including Terrorism, Espionage, Sabotage, Subversion, Organized Crime and Civil Unrest (TESSOC).
The incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within the organization as directed.
The incumbent is required to undertake operation deployments and/or TDY assignments both within and outside NATO's boundaries.
The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment / secure office environment with artificial light and air (e. g.
Bunker).
Normal Working Conditions apply.
The risk of injury is categorized as: No risk / risk might increase when deployed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
**ESSENTIAL
University Degree in the area of Security Sciences and 4 years post related experience, or
Higher Secondary Education and completed Advanced Vocational Training or equivalent studies, leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation, with 5 years post related experience and 2 years function related experience in the area of Security Sciences.
Broad knowledge and experience in maintaining and protecting security information and data in the scope of military operations.
Experience in the analysis of security information, as a preliminary step to risk assessment.
Experience in risks assessment and management, especially those related to security, in all its aspects (TESSOC), relevant to military operations.
Previous Staff work experience, security-related, at a multinational organization.
Experience in supporting Leadership at working level.
Familiarity with NATO Military Security doctrine and regulations related to JLSG HQ operations and missions.
Knowledge and understanding of security accreditation processes.
Experience in planning and managing security requirements in a wide range and complex environment.
Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of document handling and other automated tools.
Must have an English Standard Language Proficiency level of "professional" in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (SLP 3333 based on NATO standards).
**DESIRABLE
Previous experience as a Security Officer at Brigade level.
