Hr Analytics Specialist
Make a virtual tour inside Nestlé in Italy
**Position Snapshot**:
- Nestlé in Italy, Milan headquarter
- Permanent contract
- Business Bachelor or equivalent
- 1 or 2 years of experience in People Analytics or HR
- A previous experience in Data Science and Statistics (Data awareness, Mats and Statistics at business level, Database management and Data science basics) is highly recommended
- Excellent knowledge of Excel is mandatory, Power BI really appreciated
- Fluent in English and Italian
**Position Summary**:
This is a brand new position in Nestlé in the Market - Italy, as we plan to evolve in People Analytics to fully support the Businesses and the Functions in decision making process and strategy definition.
In the context of a wide and broad set of information already available, the mission of People Analytics is to leverage on data to provide insights to all stakeholder.
This will happen in two ways:
- data analysis and studies on routine or ad hoc needs in collaboration with HR, Businesses and Functions
- building capabilities firstly in the HR teams to enhance data usage and insights
The scope of the position is all Businesses and Functions in Italy (4'600 headcount, 9 categories, all kind of jobs) and a key element will be to leverage with the Above Market People Analytics team to scale and leverage tools and capabilities.
**A day in the life of. . . **:
Days in life are forecasted to change at pace for the People Analytics Specialist.
In the first period, you will focus on shaping the strategy and planning the core activities to implement the People Analytics approach for Nestlé in cooperation with the Total Rewards and People Analytics manager.
Key tasks at this stage will be:
- understanding the business environment
- getting to know all relevant stakeholders
- analyzing available data sources
- defining priorities, opportunities and ways of working
Once that the plan and the activities will be in place, days in life will shift to enhance People Analytics usage and outcome for the whole organization.
Key tasks at this stage will be:
- using of data to support people strategy in Businesses and Functions
- provide dashboards to monitor the basics of people management
- provide ad hoc analysis on people topics to create insights and to support decision making and strategy definition
- increase capabilities of the HR team on People Analytics
You will perform the role by having at hand a relevant set of data (all people related information: performances, development, rewards, survey results, etc) stored in different sources (SAP, Successfactors, Viva from Microsoft, legacy software, ) and you will use all main data management and visualization tools (Microsoft 365 with focus on Excel and Viva, PowerBI).
Interactions with the HR team and with stakeholders will be continuous and intense.

To be successful in the role you will rely on several capabilities, with focus on 4 key areas.
You may have different levels on proficiency in those areas (minimum requirement is to be strong and ready on at least two) but as well you are willing to engage and improve in the others.
- Data Science and Statistics: Data awareness, Mats and Statistics at business level, Database management and Data science basics
- Human Resources: knowledge of key HR processes and functions, privacy & ethics with data, HR evolution (employee experience, design thinking, HR platforms & tools)
- Consulting: Business acumen & change management, analysis and insight
- Communications: Presentation skills, storytelling & Data Visualization
