About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant HR Manager to oversee all human resources functions at a key manufacturing site in Italy for a leading global company in sustainable packaging solutions.

This role is pivotal in fostering a positive and productive workplace environment, aligning HR strategies with business goals, and ensuring compliance with regional labour regulations.

The position offers excellent potential for career growth, with a pathway to potential transition into a multi site or group-level HR role.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on HR-related matters, contributing to strategic decisions and workforce planning.

Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and the specific needs of the manufacturing site.

Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture, ensuring employee engagement and satisfaction.

Handle employee grievances and conflicts, promoting fair and consistent resolution processes.

Talent Acquisition Management: Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for the plant to attract and retain top talent.

Develop succession planning and career development frameworks to build a strong talent pipeline.

Training Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and align with operational requirements.

Drive leadership development initiatives to support current and future business needs.

Compliance Policies: Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies.

Regularly review and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with global standards and local practices.

HR Metrics Reporting: Monitor HR metrics (e. g. , turnover rates, absenteeism) and provide actionable insights to improve performance.

Prepare and present HR reports to senior management, offering data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications Experience: Must be open to a 6-12 month maternity cover contract, with strong possibility of extension.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).

5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

In-depth knowledge of Italian/international labour laws and HR best practices.

Proven track record in managing employee relations, recruitment, and talent development.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience in multinational organizations or matrix structures.

Proficiency in HR software and data analysis tools.

Fluency in Italian and English.
