Premier company in the Rome area is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team.
Responsibilities include the following:
Maximize the Company's potential as an attractive companyKeeping HR costs competitiveSelect, recruit, train and retain people that fit into both the functional needs as to the corporate culture that the Company is trying to build: growth seeker, upbeat, professionalManage the complexity of HR in a manufacturing environmentDesign, plan, and implement human resource programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and various HR compliance functionsOther Responsibilities: Recruitment and SelectionBenefits & CompensationAll facets of UnemploymentAll facets of Worker's CompensationUpdates and enforces Company Policies & ProceduresOversees Office Staff and Mail RoomPrepares new employee files and employee orientationsCoordinates Drug/Alcohol TestingProcesses terminationsPerforms various research projectsPerform regular reports on Labor Costs and turnoverPerforms customer service functions by answering employee requests and questionsHandle HR related auditsKeeping updates - Policy and Procedure HandbookGarnishments: Child Support, LiensHandling Employee Assistance ProgramWorking towards employee retention by assessing the company's needs and embracing initiatives towards itWorking towards employee development by assessing company's needs and embracing initiatives towards it, namely trainingContributing towards a work environment and culture that facilitates good feelings about the companyMiscellaneous tasks such as verifying invoices, proposing donations or donation programsAssist in conflict managementContributing to Budget and Managing assigned accountsDefining workload of people within departmentEvaluating people within departmentDisciplining and hiring people within budget, assist other managers in such tasksMotivating Human Resources assigned and help other managers as neededResponsible to adhere to all safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications: B. S.
preferable or 10+ years of experience in HR is requiredMust be knowledgeable of current employment laws and regulationsThe HR Manager will have access to sensitive information.
