About this opportunityWe are looking for a hands-on Human Resources Manager to join our manufacturing plant in Parma, Italy.
The HR Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team at the Plant and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
The Crown Parma plant operates 24 hours per day on a continuous shift system, manufacturing beverage cans for large well-known customers in the region.
We have around 200 employees in Parma.
The HR Manager and their team are responsible for implementing best practice in HR operations, striving for excellence, and streamlining processes where possible in line with our continuous improvement culture.
It is a very hands-on role with exposure to all areas of HR, both operational and more strategic.
The new HR Manager in this role will ensure that plant employees are engaged, retained, and developed effectively.
You will be responsible for internal communications within the Plant, facilitating the distribution of relevant information.
You will drive leadership objectives and will implement strategic action plans.

Main Responsibilities Oversee employee and industrial relations, build strong relationships with unionsSupport, advise and guide Managers in each function around performance management, Learning & Development initiatives, monitoring time and attendance, payroll supervision etc. Provide operational and hands-on support to the plant to achieve its targeted performance, especially in relation to personnel costs, headcount, productivity and related KPIsPlan and implement initiatives around Wellbeing, Inclusion, Engagement and other related topics, collaborating and sharing best practice with colleagues across EMEASupport recruitment and succession planning in collaboration with central HR and TA teamsWork closely with the Plant Manager, Regional Manufacturing Director and central HR leadership to administer and comply with Crown and country-specific policies, processes, controls (SOX), and systems (SAP)Required Education and Experience Degree qualified in a relevant subjectSignificant HR generalist experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience at the management levelStrong understanding of Employee Engagement, Organisational Change and Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Talent Management, HR Admin and PayrollKnowledge of HR management systems such as SAPPrevious experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentRequired Skills and Competencies Strong safety mindset with good attention to detailAbility to build credibility with the senior management teamEffective communication, interpersonal and organisational skillsDemonstrable ability to motivate and positively influence othersSkilled in change management, problem-solving, negotiation, and people managementAble to analyse HR-related data, identify trends and root causes, and develop short, medium and long-term plans accordinglyProficiency in MS Office suite including ExcelItalian native speaker with fluent EnglishWhat Crown Offers You The opportunity to build a career in a multi-cultural environmentTo be rewarded fairly and promoted based on merit and performanceProfessional and personal development through training and work experiencesStrong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employeesJoin us and become part of an international team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!
