Hr Manager - Europe
Purpose of Role
HR Manager will act as a business partner to our schools in Europe.
**Based in Italy, Switzerland or UK**, this role will report to the Regional Managing Director - Europe with matrix reporting to the Group HR Team.
The main purpose of this role will be to support the region in structuring our schools' organisations and helping to create a SLT for each school.
The role is responsible for the delivery of, but not limited to, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, ISP compliance, employment processing and knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities
Strategy and leadership
- Plan, develop and deliver Regional HR strategy to the countries, provide direction, advice and support School Leadership Teams
- Develop the policies, practices and procedures in collaboration with Group HR to enable the region to deliver on its business strategy and achieve its goals.
- Set up HR functional model during pre-opening phase and once operational
- Provide the HR metrics and prepare analytical and insightful reports to assist management with quick & effective decision making.
Resourcing and recruitment
- Ensure that the recruitment standards in the schools are maintained to the highest practicable level, are professional and rigorous and are compliant with the ISP Safer Recruitment standards.
- Manage & control the recruitment and selection process, expat services, especially expatriate academic staff
- Develop standard processes to support management in interviewing and selection.
Employee relations
- Investigate, give advice and guidance, and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism
Performance management
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Ensure the performance review process is implemented effectively throughout the region so that employee benefit from goal setting, continuous feedback and a focus on their own development.

Employee experience
- Deliver the ISP employer brand and purpose, mission, and values in the region.

Legal and compliance
- Ensure all people processes and activities comply with regional and local legal requirements staying abreast of updates in employment legislation and best practice and acting to ensure any necessary changes are promptly and effectively implemented.
- Update policies and procedures regularly and as necessary ensuring compliance with local legislation and best practice and ISP benchmarks and guidance.
**Qualifications and Experience
- Proven working experience as a generalist HR in a multinational, matrix environment, preferably in Education.
- Proven record of change management and a good vision of how an organisation should be set up.
- Fluency in French and English, with the addition of Italian would be an advantage
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Understanding of labour laws and regulations
- Multi-tasker, hands on & capable of operating across a broad spectrum of activities.
- Has the intellectual capacity and operational grip to 'hit the ground running' and deliver results quickly and efficiently.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
