We are looking for a HR Officer to work at ESA's ESRIN site in Frascati, Italy.

In this role, you will be part of the HR Support Services, interfacing with ESA staff and management at all sites.

The Service will work fully digitally using SAP SuccessFactors, and according to a harmonised, "One ESA" service delivery model with a strong, people-centred local presence in six countries.

About the client and location The ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) is the European Space Agency's (ESA) base in Frascati, Italy.

From this location, ESA conducts most of their earth observation research, including data analysis and distribution for other non-ESA satellites.

This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 ("Rules for the right to work of disabled people").

Tasks and activities The scope of work will include: Preparation of employment contracts following successful application.

Hiring (i. e.

payroll insertion) and HR administrative onboarding of new staff.

Individual contract and position administration during the entire employment period, e. g.

contract extensions, reassignments to new positions, etc.

Bulk adjustments to the organisational structure, e. g.

in case of reorganisations.

Ad-hoc and periodic ex-ante and ex-post verifications of entitlements, particularly examining complex cases of entitlement to allowances.

Making necessary payroll inputs for salaries, benefits and other compensation, as well as calculating ad-hoc payments.

Systematic monthly payroll verifications to a level which satisfies external auditors.

Assisting the Head of Service in interfacing with the external service provider for outsourced payroll.

Time and leave management.

Skills and experience The following skills and experience are mandatory: University Degree or equivalent in Business or Public Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Informatics, Engineering, or a relevant field.

At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, staff policies, and compliance standards in the context of an international organisation.

Experience with SAP on-premise Payroll (PY) and Time Management (TM) modules.

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.

Analytical mindset.

Attention to detail and swift follow-up of actions.

Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.

Solution-oriented mindset, with customer-focused communication skills.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Knowledge of other languages is an asset.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable: Experience with SAP S/4 HANA (Cloud).

Experience with Office 365 automation tools (e. g.

PowerApps / Power Automate).

Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e. g.

PowerBI, Tableau).
