Health & Safety Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE.

Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice.

You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

You will be mainly accountable for: Facilitating HSE risk assessments, ensuring all processes and corrective actions are implemented. Ensuring Hub Italy is audited according to the Group Assurance & Audit Program. Empowering the management team to grasp obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles according to HSE law and ABB Group policy, instructions and standards. Creating and maintaining an exemplary health and safety culture, as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the division. Engaging stakeholders to raise awareness of and win commitment to ABB Group sustainability objectives, and reporting on performance and progress. Planning and executing HSE, sustainability and corporate responsibility projects. Managing the self-assessment program and ABRA methodologies for all our plants according to ABB Way for HSE. Qualifications for the role A bachelor's degree in Environment and workplace prevention techniques. Work experience as an HSE Specialist and ASPP Certification. A methodological approach. Good knowledge of English and Italian (both written and spoken). A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. More about us
