Hub Hse Leader - Grid Automation Europe

Hitachi Energy is looking for a **HUB HSE Leader f**or our Grid Automation Europe team.
**Mission Statement**:
Implement BL and performance improvement programs, initiatives and practices to ensure an exemplary HSE culture throughout the assigned Countries.
Clear focus on Project HSE Performance and alignment across the Hub Europe and expanded international projects.
Ensure adequate HSE resource is allocated Project Sites where required and HSE readiness is prioritized in line with Hitachi Energy standards.
Delivers and deploys HSE training, Assurance and Hitachi Energy performance improvement programs to the assigned Countries.
3Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment & sustainability.
**Main Accountabilities**:
**1.
Metrics
Ensures timely notification of HSE incidents, investigations, preventative and corrective actions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Local & HUB Management.
Feeds back on lessons learned and best practice regarding project HSE performance to further develop maturity in the HUB organization
Provides analysis of HSE data within area of responsibility.
Reports on progress on implementation of Sustainability Objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) as required.
**2.
Regulatory Compliance
Contributes to assessing emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicates relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and assigned countries.
Supports constituent countries to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations.
**3.
Risk management
Contributes to effective risk management of HSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice to business and management teams.
**4.
Continuous improvement
Supports behavioural change by implementing HUB requirements aligned with Hitachi Energy and BU.
Supports and implements Hitachi Energy BU-wide performance improvement programs and practices aligned with annual HSE plans to ensure an exemplary HSE culture throughout the assigned countries.
**5.
Communication and engagement
Engages external (e. g.
customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Hitachi Energy and BU HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback.
Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive HSE performance.
Communicates, speaks and writes highly effectively **in English.
Fluency in Italian will be an advantage.
**6.
Operational Support
Contributes to driving behavioural change and continuous improvement though delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert support to the Local Business Units in line with yearly HSE plan agreed with the Business Units.
Supports the sharing of best practice.
Coordinates reporting on HSE performance and support delivery of Group audit program.
Ensures ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 3rd party certification across operations of HUB in line with Hitachi Energy and BU directives.
**Your background**:
University level education in a relevant discipline (e. g.
electrical engineering, industrial manufacturing/processes, IOSH certificate or equivalent)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a HSE function in global organisation
- Excellent knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements (e. g.
Legislation, ISO 45001, ISO14001)
- Ability to successfully support, persuade and influence senior management teams in a highly matrixed environment.
- Capable of working autonomously with remote and global teams and delivering in complex working environments
- Experience in International Projects across multiple remote sites.
- Ability to drive Cultural change and growth consistently.
- Team player with ability to collaborate and delegate effectively.
Excellent English language skills both orally and in writing.
Skills in Italian and or German is an advantage.
