Human Resources Generalist
This position reports to and assists the Regional HR Manager, EMA in the provision of pragmatic, proactive and business-focused HR services to the regional customer base. Incumbent will play a key role in being the first level contact for employees and leaders at the assigned location and be responsible for the delivery of HR operations such as recruitment, learning and development and government reports, and act as a support to local Business Leaders and employees within the site.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIESSupports Regional Human Resources Manager (HRM) in the review and implementation of an effective on-boarding for all new hires into the business. Works with the HRM and Line Manager to encourage a learning culture through identification of training needs, training registration as per individual training plans, processing of training requests, review learning processes and approaches, application and monitoring of training grants e. g. online learning, classroom training, rotation program. Maintain accuracy of training plans and records. Involved in the guidance and implementation, maintenance and clarification of HR policies and approaches relating to HR practices. Ensures accuracy of HRIS data by capturing all changes in the system timely. Leads various local committee meetings in line with statutory requirements. Works with Site Leaders to deliver employee engagement activities for the site, for example: wellness program, festival celebrations, employee communication. Supports HRM in conducting workplace investigations. Supports Site Leaders in annual performance management and compensation management processes. Acts as the first line of contact for employee grievances and assists managers to achieve effective solutions to maintain a conducive workplace. Manages various contracts with vendors to ensure timely renewal of various services to avoid disruption (example: Insurance, Training vendor, etc. ). Maintains up-to-date employee records digitally and in hard copy. Works with HRM, Site Leaders and local authority to obtain necessary government approvals from the Department of Labor as required (example: introducing new policies or benefits, changes to policies, etc. ). Supports Site Leaders in the management of site BCP plan due to emergencies or government advisories. Regional activities:Participates in the provision of HR support across the region on HR-related matters in the absence of HRM. Works with the wider HR team on HR-related process and policy improvements. Participates in other regional or global HR-related projects and requests namely process improvement, wellness, and health and safety etc. BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCEDegree in HR or Business-related discipline with 5 years of relevant experience. Language proficiency in English and Italian. PC literate - accustomed and comfortable working with Word, Excel, Gmail, Powerpoint. Having at least 3 years of HR experience working with Manufacturing Shop employees. Solid knowledge of local labor laws. Preferably having experience in HRIS and in developing local policies and procedures. Type: Permanent / Full Time / On-Site
