Internal Job Description: The Cable Jointer is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems.

Duties & Responsibilities: Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work. Lead crew and represent the Company in absence of the Foreman. Effectively conduct pre-job briefings. Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution. Frequently work with energized high voltage systems (up to 400kV) requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others. Capable of safely operating and maintaining company equipment. Perform all other related work as required to complete the job. Inspect the work of crew members. Splice and terminate HV/EHV Cables with extremely low failure rates. Assist or supervise HV/EHV cable pulling, testing, or supervision activities as required. Travel: Up to 45 weeks per year
