About this opportunity

We are now looking for an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to design next generation optical solutions for Ericsson product family portfolio.

In this role, you will be part of an experienced team and will perform development activities such as: requirement analysis, mechanical modeling & simulation, mechanical design and verification, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.

Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working.

We are organized in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

**What you will do**:

- Work in a multidisciplinary team to develop the mechanical components of Ericsson next generation optical solutions, in accordance with the specifications, costs, times and expected quality

- Implement innovative and cost-effective solutions, from prototype development to full-scale production

- Investigate new technologies and trends with close relationship with vendors

- Be part of a motivated and autonomous team, working directly with product owners and partners in a very collaborative environment

- Work in an agile manner, with a special focus on product quality and user delight

- Constantly seek to improve our ways of working, as part of a continuously learning team that encourages people to approach things from different perspectives and with a demeanor for innovation

- Seek and trouble-shoot product issues and customer problems

**You will bring**:

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Telecommunication or related information technology area

- Experience in HW mechanical modelling and design

- CAD tool competence (with preference for CREO)

- 1 / 2 years of experience in the field

- Ability to think creatively and out of the box

- Interested in and passionate about staying up to date with technology trends

- Ability to think creatively and out of the box, curiosity is a must

- Strong teamwork spirit and willingness to collaborate

- Good problem-solving skills

- Proactive self-starter

- Motivated, flexible and adaptable

- Good knowledge of English language
