To strengthen our Digital&Data team we are looking for a **Network Manager**, who will be responsible for managing the design and the operations of Ferrari voice, data, video and wireless network services.
Working closely with the other Digital & Data teams, the Network Manager will be responsible to design, develop and maintain operational best practices to deploy and implement Network solutions.
The jobholder will ensure design, effective deployment, monitoring, reporting, security, and life-cycle management solutions services through our environments and proper training on the staff involved in the Network Operations.
His/her main duties and responsibilities shall in principle include (without limitation):
- Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near
- and long-term network capacity and budget needs.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery, introducing 'best practices' into all areas of process, metrics, and performance
- Drive continuous improvement, technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration;
- Design and deploy company LANs and WANs, including servers, routers, switches, Wireless technologies, load balancers, UPSs, and other hardware.
- Design, implement, and support firewalls, and VPNs
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
- Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, factory equipment, and other network appliances.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Identify, develop and document operational processes and procedures and assist with runbook implementations where there are gaps
- Participate in managing all network security solutions.
**Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent vocational certificates and work experience that is relevant and current
- Certification in Cisco and Checkpoint solutions (e. g. , CCIE, CCNP, CCSE, ) is an asset
**Knowledge and experience
- A minimum of 8 years of IT experience within a medium to large sized business (OS, network operations, and monitoring);
- A minimum of 4 relevant years of experience in Network Administration;
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e. g. , IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802. 11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Experience in enterprise operations and infrastructure support management (level 1-3 tier support);
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Experience with crafting KPI/Metrics, OLA and SLA's agreements are major plus;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of systems management;
- Strong verbal/written communication in English, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority;
