Offer Description The research will analyze the drivers of crop diversification and the adoption of carbon farming techniques in Italy, harnessing the extensive dataset generated within the project.

The activities will involve mixing econometric and machine learning techniques to construct empirical models predicting the evolution of land use change, crop yields, and the adoption and diffusion of carbon farming practices.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the examination of climatic and policy variables, encompassing regional and European incentive structures, as well as the characteristics of soil.

Furthermore, the research will assess the profitability of carbon farming practices and determine the appropriate valuation for carbon credits in the agricultural sector.

Knowledge of software for the statistical analysis of large datasets is strongly required (R, Python, Matlab, Stata).

A strong quantitative background is appreciated.
