Ikea Food Commercial Leader
What you'll be doing day to day
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To drive the importance for Food to attract, engage and drive visitation and customer satisfaction as well as optimize sales, gross margin and profit in order to enable for extraordinary growth. To strengthen food commercial competence and lead activities to address key gaps of food commercial and sales performance, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support units to drive food commercial excellence through coaching, knowledge transfer and information sharing to, and between, the units
- Continuously monitor units, competitors and the market to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities
- Responsible to steer food pricing and ensure competitive pricing through collaborating with different stakeholders within Food and Commercial
- Contribute insights and ideas to the market business plan as an integrated commercial partner
- Responsible for forecasting and setting sales & supply country plan in line with financial plan
- Co-create with stakeholders to develop product pricing
- Optimize food sales, conversion, gross margin and profit as well as support units to address deviations, reports and analysis supplied by Business Navigator
- Responsible for integration of food into activity and commercial calendar by working closely with stakeholders in and outside Commercial
- Plan, conduct and follow-up commercial performance and review as well as act upon them to ensure performance excellence throughout the year
- Implement common food commercial framework, standards, way of working, tools and KPI's adapting to local legislation and laws
- Lead food experience improvements and food innovation initiatives
- Contribute with knowledge transfer and information sharing to and between the units
- Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact (for example Digital, CFF (Customer Fulfilment), Communications, Sustainability, BNOF (Business Navigation Operations & Finance), People & Culture)
- Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA
- Be an active player in working on sustainability within food (sourcing of local ingredients, circularity in production, usage of sustainable materials and services)
**What you'll need to have
- Formal qualifications in Sales, Business or Customer Management or equivalent
- Relevant experience in Business management or similar and delivering results
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and influencing coworkers
- Experience from retail, preferably home furnishing or food sector
- Experience in planning, driving output and measuring performance (business)
- Availability to National business travels (20% of the time)
- Broad knowledge of food trends that influence the market and how to combine them with IKEA food strategy to create commercially viable offers
- Broad knowledge about the local market environment, expectations from customers today and tomorrow to secure that
commercial and service offers meet customer demands and needs
- Broad knowledge of the customer life cycle and critical pain points connected to and between our channels
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritise relevant data and make decisions with speed and simplicity
- Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Commercial as an integrated part of the business
- Good leadership capabilities including ability to lead peers and stakeholders while communicating in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice
- Ability to take a holistic view of a global organisation and identify business opportunities accordingly
- Ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward
