Required Qualifications Must possess a valid work visa or authorization to work in Japan.
Experience in the Food & Beverage industry (e. g.
fast-food chains, café chains, supermarkets, imported food stores, hotel restaurants, etc. )
Customer Service and Negotiation Experience Management Experience (Store or facility manager, supervisor, area manager, restaurant or hotel restaurant manager, or experience in training and supervising team members) Experience in leading a multi-faceted high-volume business and delivering business performance Language Requirements Capable of communicating effectively in both Japanese and English, both in writing and verbally (Japanese proficiency above N2 level is essential).

Act as a commercial business partner within the IKEA business in the store.
Lead and coach the store to optimise and develop the IKEA Retail Food business, considering the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and people and planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints as well as promoting IKEA as a great place to work.
Your Responsibilities Strengthen the IKEA brand by safeguarding a high quality, safe and inspirational customer experience Ensure that global and national compliance standards are met to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers Responsible for maximising sales through commercial and operational excellence Ensure that the store is locally relevant throughout the different sales channels by acting on insights from the local market potential and collaborating with the team and other functions in order to attract visitors Ensure IKEA Food financial results according to unit, national and global frames Contribute to the creation and implementation of unit yearly action plan Contributes to the overall business success of the store as a member of the steering group Secure a lean, diverse and high performing team through building IKEA Food and IKEA competence and leadership and empowering co-workers to act on their own initiative Ensures relevant competence, succession, organisational development and that IKEA is a great place to work Responsible for the implementation of the global and national people and sustainability strategies Team Structure IKEA Tachikawa IKEA Food Manager is a leader with three direct reports: Commercial Restaurant Manager: Responsible for the management and operation of the customer and employee restaurants at IKEA Tachikawa.
Kitchen Production Manager: Oversees the hygiene management, administration, and operation of the kitchens in both the customer and employee restaurants at IKEA Tachikawa.
Commercial Bistro & Swedish Food Market Manager: Responsible for the management and operation of the Bistro and Swedish Food Market at IKEA Tachikawa.
Under the leadership of these three managers, the team consists of approximately 60 members, including 3 team leaders.
You will work as a member of the management team, consisting of seven members, led by the IKEA Tachikawa Market Manager (Store Manager).
Working Hours 8:00-22:00 (Shift Work) Where you work/Access IKEA Tachikawa 6 Midori - Cho, Tachikawa City, Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, 190-00146, Japan Train: Approximately 10 minutes on foot from the north exit of JR Tachikawa Station.
7 minutes on foot from Takamatsu Station on the Tama Monorail.
Tachikawa Bus: 1 minute on foot from the Disaster Medical Center/Disaster Medical Center East bus stop.
Car: Car/Motorcycle Commutation is available.
Cost of gasoline will be covered (by the rule), parking spaces available.
