**Key Responsibilities**:
As an Import/Export Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our logistics operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and running international shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Handling import and export documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve best shipping methods and routes.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to all international trade regulations and company policies.
- Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external collaborators.
- Handling customs clearance processes and resolving any related issues.
- Tracking shipments and updating relevant parties on the status.
- Conducting regular reviews of shipping processes and implementing improvements for greater efficiency.
- Negotiating rates with freight forwarders and other logistics providers.
- Preparing and analyzing transportation metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
**Required Qualifications**:
To efficiently implement the responsibilities of this role, you must have:
- Shown experience in import/export operations, preferably within the transportation/shipping industry.
- A strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Outstanding social skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- The ability to closely adhere to deadlines and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in English and Italian.
