ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - UNIVERSITA' DI BOLOGNA - - DIPARTIMENTO DI SCIENZE MEDICHE E CHIRURGICHE Job Offer Description Autoimmune diabetes is increasing in recent years, with a peak incidence in pediatric age and one in young adulthood.

Recent data show that autoimmunity and the course of the disease allow us to sub-classify different types of diabetes, with completely different onset and clinical evolution.

These aspects have recently been highlighted by the need to perform diabetes antibody screening in at-risk populations (LAW 15 of September 2023, n. 130).

This will open the possibility of performing screening also in adult populations at risk, with the identification of a cohort of patients with positive autoimmunity with different degrees of dysglycemia and clinical evolution.

The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical evolution, the most appropriate monitoring regimen, and the response to different therapeutic regimens of patients with positive autoimmunity for diabetes, in all stages of the disease (from stage 1 to full-blown diabetes).
