The Indirect Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of goods and services not directly related to production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. They coordinate purchasing activities, manage suppliers, and support various business functions in sourcing materials and services necessary for their operations.
Main Responsibilities: Indirect Purchasing Management:Coordinate and manage the procurement of indirect goods and services (e. g. , office supplies, maintenance services, marketing services, IT, Capex, etc. ). Define and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and ensure the quality of goods and services. Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process and supplier selection. Negotiate contracts and framework agreements with suppliers. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance. Cost Optimization:Identify cost reduction opportunities through spend analysis and the implementation of strategic sourcing strategies. Conduct market analysis to identify alternative suppliers and savings opportunities. Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor results. Supplier Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Manage supplier performance and resolve any issues. Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and implement improvement plans. Support to Business Functions:Collaborate with various business functions to understand their procurement needs. Provide support and advice to business functions on indirect purchasing matters. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Data Management and Reporting:Maintain up-to-date information systems with supplier and purchasing data. Generate periodic reports on indirect purchasing performance. Analyze spending data and identify trends and improvement opportunities. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or related fields. Proven experience in purchasing roles, preferably in indirect purchasing. Knowledge of negotiation and contract management techniques. Data analysis and reporting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of ERP systems and purchasing management software. Knowledge of the English language. Desired Skills: Experience in medium or large-sized companies. Knowledge of procurement and contract regulations. Personal Attributes: Results-oriented. Ability to work in a team.
