Purpose of Position: The Indirect Senior Buyer is responsible for overseeing indirect procurement, mainly focused on Supply Chain, such as logistics, freights, warehousing and facility operating expenses for the EMEA Region. The role requires deep procurement and category knowledge, facilitating with leading sourcing, contracting, negotiating, designing, and implementing strategic sourcing methodology, and partnering strategies across business functions. The Indirect Senior Buyer will drive procurement policies and procedures, sourcing requirements, products and services, and administrative requirements for procurement of goods and services. Additionally, the position manages and monitors supplier performance, which includes initiating and managing ongoing projects to reduce overall procurement costs and improve supplier flexibility, delivery, and performance. Description of the main Activities: Procurement Strategy : Develop and execute category strategies for indirect procurement to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency for the 12 production sites in Europe. Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers. Conduct supplier performance reviews and foster long-term partnerships. Negotiations : Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with business needs. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards. Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement solutions that align with business goals. Cost Management : Monitor and control spending within assigned categories, driving cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality. Requirements: Education: Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or other business-related focus. Professional Skills: Advanced knowledge of supply chain management, sourcing and/or procurement. Ability to apply advanced analytics and Industry benchmarking techniques and tools. Experience: 5 years of experience in purchasing roles in international (multi-sites) companies within manufacturing sector (mandatory). Language Skills: English language knowledge is mandatory. French / German language knowledge is highly appreciated. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel. Behavioral Requirements: Team player, self-motivated, desire to learn and take on new challenges. Achievement oriented (timeline driven, detail oriented, good planning, and negotiation skills). Adaptable and flexible, must be able to adapt to fast-changing environments. Ability to build internal/external strategic relationships. Other: Based close to Gallarate.
