Job description

**Position Summary

Insulators apply, remove, and repair insulation (e. g. , calcium silicate, cellular glass, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (e. g. , ducting, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and vessels).

**Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Describes the materials used and identifies areas where fireproofing and fire stopping are used in a building system

- Identifies and describes the various components of a commercial process system

- Understands, identifies and describes the components and materials used in an Industrial system

- Outlines the layout process, fabricates and installs removable box coverings on piping and equipment without supervision

- Interprets mechanical drawings to describe processes, identifies their divisions and components related to specifications and addendums related to an industrial system

- Safety is everyone's responsibility and you are responsible to look out for yourself and those around you

**Education & Experience

- Post-secondary or technical training is an asset

- Static equipment experience (such as vessels, heat exchange, etc.

)

- Strong experience in pipe insulation

- Safety tickets including**:CSTS, Fall Protection, H2S Alive

**Skills

- Interpersonal skills with clients and co-workers

- Organization and time management skills

- Communication both verbally and written

- Prioritizing multiple demands on a project or work site

**Physical & Other Requirements

- Lifting, bending, climbing

- Ability to be exposed to various types of work environments

- Use of various shop equipment and trade-related hand tools

- Use of ladders or scaffolding

- Working in confined spaces

- Working with WHMIS products and materials

- Use of specialized PPE such as respirators, coveralls and safety glasses

**Salary**: €21. 00 - €37. 00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Insulation: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Drivers License (required)
