Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain. The activity of NAS domain includes avionics, navigation, and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers, and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies, and Air Force around the world. Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production, and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products. JOB OBJECTIVE
The Industrialization and PP Manager at Thales is a member of the Industry team and the role covers the international footprint of Thales business, engaging international organizations with functional and transversal management of resources localized in key regions like Europe and India.
Key stakeholders for industrialization include the Suppliers' ecosystem with worldwide coverage and significant footprint in India. Contributors to industrialization performance are Thales industrial organizations based in Europe for which the role provides leadership, functional guidance, and management of the discipline setting vision, scope, and targets.
In the role, she/he oversees the following topics: product and process industrialization; definition, implementation, qualification, and optimization of production processes; new products introduction. Furthermore, it considers the production preparation activities managing projects related to the production improvement and automation as well as the coordination of activities related to the manufacturing processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Industrialization and PP Manager supports the design phase by sharing production requirements and constraints, elaborates industrialization plans, and leads industrialization tasks for better manufacturability of products.
Leadership in New Product Introduction projects including production qualification, contribution to the cost calculation of new products according to the defined industrial strategy, and planning the production preparation activities including main industrialization milestones and reviews (PRR, PFMEA, FAI).
The role of Production Process management also covers CAPEX management: procurement of tools and means for production; projects related to production improvement (automatic test systems, Industry 4. 0/digitalization projects, re-layout) as well as coordination of activities related to the manufacturing processes: technical support and maintenance of the production lines (internal and external), technical data implementation in the ERP system (items, BOM, routings), production KPI monitoring, improvement projects based on LEAN principles, preparation of test procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and active participation in the CCB (change control board) with support for internal and external changes implementation. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
APC and ESD experiences are required.
Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification, engineering field is an advantage. Several years of experience in the field of industrial production of complex electronic systems.
Solid experience in assembling and testing processes of electronic boards. Good experience related to the management of international projects, production start-ups, and production qualifications.
Good knowledge in handling ERP (Oracle Core Model – OCM possibly), MES, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Experience in team management and interdisciplinary interaction.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
As far as soft skills are concerned, willingness to take over responsibilities, proven competence in teamwork, cooperation, and communication, an agile and proactive approach, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects, a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
