You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Naval Forces Europe SIXTH FLEET of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA.

I have one year of information technology-related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Reviewing tasking, planning, execution, and operational orders from higher headquarters organizations with theater-wide organizations to ensure implementation timelines are met. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the Command and other partners. Oral Communication - Expresses information effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Providing technical advice to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Meeting future operational requirements by enhancing existing architecture. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Demonstrating practices of Information Technology and Cyber Security Administration, Risk Management Framework, and Defensive Cyber Operations to analyze complex technical situations; 2) Researching governing compliance directives to collaborate across organizational departments; 3) Evaluating alternative solutions to facilitate consensus problem resolution; 4) Developing and managing IT projects from inception through completion; and 5) Implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) to integrate security, privacy, and cyber supply chain risk management activities into the system development life cycle.
