About the Role: As the Infrastructure Engineering Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of infrastructure design projects and proposals, ensuring compliance with the Italian public procurement code. You will manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects, working closely with clients such as construction companies and government agencies. Additionally, you will take on the design of record responsibilities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all design documents. Responsibilities: Project Management: Supervise the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other public works. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations and standards. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle. Review and approve design plans, specifications, and technical documents. Take responsibility for the design of record, ensuring all design documents are accurate and meet regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications. Commercial Management: Oversee the preparation and submission of project proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with the Italian public procurement code. Manage project budgets, contracts, and financial performance. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly. Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and updates to clients and stakeholders. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular quality assurance checks and audits to maintain high standards of work. Implement and maintain safety protocols to protect workers and the public. Internal Coordination & Leadership: Support, oversee, and coordinate engineering production activities for the operating unit. Make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Initiate and maintain contact with senior-level management within the company. Demonstrate skills in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. Exhibit mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operational problems. Determine operational objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects, and develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. Receive supervision that is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. 10 years of experience. Proven experience in infrastructure engineering and management, with a track record of successful project delivery. Strong knowledge of the Italian public procurement code and local regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of infrastructure design and construction processes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e. g. , PE, PMP) are a plus. Fluent in Italian and English.
