Aiming to strengthen our Automotive Department for an important project into High Performance Cars, we are recruiting a

**INNOVATION BATTERY TEST SPECIALIST - AUTOMOTIVE DOMAIN

Job location: Italy, Modena Area

The selected resource will support the Testing Project Leader in the development and management of tests on High Voltage battery components, focusing on innovative items, like

- innovative materials for batteries, as for example materials for: thermal protection, electrical protection, low CO2 emissions, housing, busbar

- new testing technologies for materials, cells, and batteries

- new cells, modules or batteries.

Testing could be performance, aging, environmental endurance, mechanical abuse, thermal propagation, mechanical.

Materials and methodologies that showed good results could be integrated into cells and batteries test set-up/specs.

The Testing Specialists works closely with the mechanical and electrical design team, in order to report the test results and to improve the component's design.

Some tests are performed externally (from external suppliers).

All the tests are supervised by the Battery Test Specialist.

**Key Responsibilities

- For the assigned tests: responsible for specifications, set-up, test management for internal and external laboratories, test report, tear down and post test analysis;

- Timing and costs management of assigned tests;

- Define and develop new testing methodologies, procedures and measurement techniques;

- Study of new materials and methodologies;

- Benchmark and bibliography study to propose innovative ideas;

- Study of new standards/ regulations

**Requirements - Education / Background / Technical Skills**:

- BSc / MSc Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic / Automotive Engineering or similar background;

- at least 3 years of R&D experience is required (1 year of proven experience on testing with cells or batteries is a plus);

- Knowledge of cells and batteries foundamentals (chemistry, electrical, safety) is necessary;

- 2+ years of MATLAB/Simulink/Testing Automation programming experience

Contratto di lavoro: Tempo pieno, Tempo indeterminato
