As part of the Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) team (ULS brand), you'll join a community of service sales specialists who have strong customer relationships and solid knowledge of service delivery within the life sciences industry.
DIVISION SUMMARY
Launched in 2011 to enhance customer productivity, Unity Lab Services is one of Thermo Fisher Scientific's five premier brands.
We provide a single source for integrated lab service, support and supply management.
IES (the internal acronym standing for Instrument and Enterprise Services Division) encompasses over 3600 global service professionals with the broadest service portfolio in the market coupled with access to a deep bench of domain expertise.
This is a home office-based role with occasional travel into the field.
Travel: up to 20% overnight
What will you do?
- Achieve and exceed quarterly & yearly sales goals within assigned territory
- Identify, develop and close large sales opportunities
- Identify customer solutions that span across multiple business sectors and cross functional stakeholders, and collaborate effectively to execute the sale plan
- Support cross-functional customer planning sessions and business reviews of service solutions for various customers
- Develop, implement and maintain account specific strategies/proposals to drive incremental growth opportunities
- Utilize technology to forecast sales pipeline accurately
- Act as a country/regional Account Manager for Strategic customers but also as EMEA IES owner of assigned EMEA wide customers to maintain and grow business
- Sells new products by utilizing value propositions by establishing key customers relationships and understanding customer service/support needs
- Utilizes strategic messaging and sales approach for the broader target audience with superior knowledge of our service products
- Train, Motivate and support divisional Sales partners to sell services at POS to achieve sales goals
- Act as a resource to others in determining the best course of action in compliance with quality processes and business rules and regulations
- Monitor competitive activity and industry trends, creating competitive solutions
- Maintain intensity and continually striving to increase contract penetration coverage of instrument install base
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science or equivalent education or experience
- Minimum five (5) years of selling experience strongly preferred
- Experience successfully meeting or exceeding sales target in a business environment
- Demonstrable experience creating and executing sales and/or field marketing plans
- Success in territory management plans with a focus on developing long-term relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i. e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
)
Preferred Experience:
- Strong knowledge of assigned product portfolio and corresponding technical understanding of lab instruments
- Familiarity with the following industries: biotech, clinical, pharmaceutical, academic/medical research, environmental, food, forensics, and petrochemical
