Deliver instructional materials, conduct hands-on training sessions, evaluate students' performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This role requires extensive experience as a line worker, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor and guide students in a high-risk environment.
Ideal candidates should be passionate about safety and committed to preparing the next generation of line workers.
Job Duties: Provide a minimum of 15 credit hours of instruction in person and/or onlineProvide in-person instruction to students. Maintain a minimum of 5 office hoursAdvise students in the manufacturing divisionProvide instruction to students in both theory and practice. Maintenance and care of classrooms and training materials will also be expected. Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated. Teach at various levels to help support the College. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent5 years of relevant experienceUnderstanding and experience with electrical power line safety requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalentExperience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
